During the reporting period, the North Ossetian customs continued to operate in the status of a customs office of actual control. In this regard, one of the areas of customs activity was the improvement of customs control when placing goods under the customs procedure of customs transit and upon completion of this procedure.
Thus, in 2021, more than 144 thousand transactions related to the placement of goods under the customs transit procedure were completed, which is 15.46% more than in 2021. The customs transit procedure was completed for more than 61 thousand shipments, which is 20.62% more than in the same period last year. More than 106 thousand transit declarations were completed electronically.
One of the priority tasks for North Ossetian customs is to create a comfortable environment for doing business and attracting new participants in foreign economic activity. This work is based on the widespread use of advanced information technologies. For example, automatic registration of electronic transit declarations is the first stage towards the introduction of technology that involves the complete exclusion of human participation in the process of declaring and releasing goods in accordance with the customs procedure of customs transit. In North Ossetian customs in 2020, the number of auto-registered transit declarations amounted to 8,300.
An important task for the North Ossetian customs is to ensure the flow of funds into the state budget. Over the past year, more than 38 million rubles were transferred to the federal budget. The value of imports amounted to 318.75 thousand dollars, exports - 35.41 thousand dollars.

As for the direction of customs control after the release of goods, over the past year the service units carried out 28 inspection activities, as a result of which additional customs duties, penalties and fines were imposed in the amount of 15.4 million rubles; 49 cases of accident and 3 criminal cases were initiated.
In 2021, the activities of the personnel departments of the North Ossetian Customs were focused on the implementation of measures aimed at preserving and strengthening human resources, increasing professional training, combating corruption, and strengthening official discipline.
A personnel reserve has been formed at the North Ossetian Customs for appointment to vacant positions in the federal public service. Currently, there are 156 candidates in the customs personnel reserve. In 2021, 36 candidates were appointed from the reserve to FGSS positions, 44 candidates to employee positions, 10 candidates to employee positions, and 5 candidates to temporary FGSS positions.

“2020 was quite a difficult year, both for the country’s economy and for the lives of citizens in general. The pandemic has also made adjustments to the work of customs authorities. There were a considerable number of related problems, but, nevertheless, we dealt with them and finished the year with dignity,” noted Alexey Breusov.
At the end of the meeting, the head of the North Caucasus Customs Administration, Albert Mavlikov, thanked all the personnel for the work done: “Despite all the difficulties and problems that the employees of the North Ossetian Customs are now facing, in general the work is being carried out at a high professional level, which is confirmed by departmental awards, distinguished officials, as well as recognition of the North Ossetian Customs - the winner of the competition “The best team of border customs among the customs authorities of the North Caucasus Customs Administration based on the results of 2021”, I am sure that in 2021, the tasks that face customs authorities will be executed in an even more efficient manner.”
