This heading covers only men's and boys' knitted or crocheted suits and sets, jackets, jackets, trousers, breeches and shorts (other than swimming trunks) and overalls with bib and straps.
(A) Subject to note 3(a) to this chapter, it should be noted that:

(a) a “suit jacket or cardigan” designed to cover the upper part of the body, opens entirely at the front without fastenings or has a fastening other than a zipper. It does not fall below the hips and is not intended to be worn over another jacket, cardigan or blazer;

(b) “longitudinal pieces (front or back)” (at least two front and two back) forming the outer part of the jacket or jacket must be sewn together lengthwise. The term "longitudinal details" does not include sleeves, lapels or collars;

(c) a "waistcoat", the front of which is made of the same material as the other parts of the suit and the back of which is made of the same material as the lining of the suit jacket or jacket, may also be included in the set.

All components of the “suit” must be made of the same material, color and style; they must be made in the same style and the appropriate size. However, these components may have piping (a strip of material sewn into the seam) of a different material.

If several different lower body coverings are presented together (for example, either two trousers or trousers and shorts), then the trousers are considered to be the lower clothing item and the remaining items are considered separately.

In Note 3 (a) to this chapter, the expression “of the same material” means the same material (identical material), which must be:

- one weave, i.e. must be obtained with the same connection (have the same screed size) and the structure and parameters (for example, decitex number) of the yarn used must be the same;

- one color (even one tone and shade); this applies to multi-colored yarns and printed fabrics;

- one composition, i.e. The percentage composition of the textile materials used (for example, 100% by weight wool, 51% by weight synthetic fibers, 49% by weight cotton) must be the same.

(B) The term "men's or boys' ensemble" means an ensemble of clothing (other than suits and garments of heading 61.07, 61.08 or 61.09) consisting of several items made of the same fabric, intended for retail sale and comprising:

- one piece of clothing serving the upper part of the body, with the exception of pullovers, which can also be a second piece of outerwear in the case of two-piece sets, and vests, which can also be a second piece of outerwear;

- one or two items of clothing intended for the lower part of the body and consisting of trousers, overalls with bib and straps, breeches or shorts (other than swimming trunks).

All parts of the suit must be made from fabric of the same weave, style, color and composition. They must also be the appropriate size. The term "ensemble" does not apply to sportswear or skiing costumes of heading 61.12 (see Chapter Note 3(b)).

In addition:

(B) The "jackets or blazers" of this heading have the same characteristics as the suit jackets or jackets described in Note 3(a) and in paragraph (A) above, except that the upper portion (excluding sleeves, cuffs) and collar, if any) may consist of three or more longitudinal parts (of which two are front), longitudinally sewn together. This heading does not include warm anoraks, windbreakers, ski jackets and similar articles of clothing of heading 61.01 or 61.02.

(D) "Pants" is an article of clothing in which each leg is wrapped separately and the knees are covered; usually the trousers reach the ankles or below; Usually these garments reach to the waist at the top; the presence of straps does not change the basic character of the trousers.

(E) "Bib and Strap Coverall" means the garment illustrated in Figures 1 through 5 below and similar clothing that does not cover the knee.

5 (E) “Shorts” are “pants” that do not cover the knees.

This heading does not include:

(a) Made-to-measure vests presented separately (heading 61.10).

(b) Suits for sports, skiers and swimmers (heading 61.12).
