MK (ISO 3166) 004-97

Interstate classification of countries of the world

According to the decision of the Customs Union Commission, since 2010 the world classifier has been the official directory of country codes. Used when filling out the appropriate fields in the import and export declaration forms.

When filling out a customs declaration, information about the country of departure, the country of arrival of the cargo and the country of origin of the goods is used by the letter code of the country.

Preface

The goals, basic principles and basic procedure for carrying out work on interstate standardization are established by GOST 1.0-92 “Interstate standardization system. Basic provisions" and GOST 1.2-2009 "Interstate standardization system. Interstate standards, rules and recommendations for interstate standardization. The procedure for the development, adoption, application, updating and implementation of the Turkmen Standard Laws"

Climate

The climate of the Czech Republic is moderate, with warm but not hot summers and fairly mild winters. The four seasons are clearly defined. Spring is cool with an average temperature of 8-12 degrees. Precipitation is 150-200 mm. Summer is warm with a fairly comfortable temperature of 15-20 degrees. Hot weather doesn't happen often. But it gets cold often. Therefore, when visiting the Czech Republic in summer, we recommend taking light jackets with you. The most precipitation falls in summer. Autumn is quite warm with an average temperature of about 10 degrees. Winter lasts from December to February. The temperature is kept around zero degrees. There are both thaws and frosts.

Application area

This standard applies to sealing devices (hereinafter referred to as PU) and establishes their classification.

The standard is used in the development and production of PU.

Introduction

The Interstate Council for Standardization, Metrology and Certification (ISC) was created within the framework of the Agreement on the implementation of a coordinated policy in the field of standardization, metrology and certification, signed by the heads of government of the Commonwealth of Independent States on March 13, 1992, and consists of authorized representatives of the states parties to this Agreement.

The purpose of the IGU is to promote standardization, metrology and certification and related activities, which contributes to the interstate exchange of goods and services and the development of cooperation in the intellectual, scientific, technical and economic fields.

The interstate classifier of countries of the world was developed as a tool for communication and information exchange within the CIS.

Czech Republic (Česká republika)

The Czech Republic is a small state in Central Europe. This is one of the most distinctive and attractive countries of the European Union for tourists with a rich history, many interesting sights, castles and cultural monuments. The Czech Republic borders on Poland in the north, Germany in the west and northwest, Slovakia in the east, and Austria in the south. It is a parliamentary republic. The official language is Czech.

What comes to mind when we talk about the Czech Republic? These are the Gothic spiers of Prague and Prague streets, this is the ancient Charles Bridge across the Vltava, these are hundreds of castles and churches in cozy old towns, this is excellent beer and delicious food. All this is true, but there is something more. The Czech Republic is an atmosphere of calm and silence, the cordiality and leisurely nature of the local people, the pace of life, beautiful natural landscapes: leisurely rivers, fields and picturesque wooded hills. Interestingly, the country is also one of the safest in Europe and has one of the lowest levels of corruption.

Czech spaces

The country is located almost in the center of the former Austria-Hungary - in the past it was one of the largest and most powerful states in Europe. The Czech Republic occupies the historical regions of Moravia, Bohemia and part of Silesia. The turbulent past has left a colossal historical legacy, and low prices for food and hotels make the Czech Republic one of the cheapest countries in Europe for tourists.

Purpose of the Interstate Classifier of Countries of the World

1.1 The Interstate Classifier of Countries of the World establishes the identification of sovereign states or any other territories that have political, economic, geographical or historical characteristics, and is intended for use in the process of information exchange during international interaction in economic, scientific, cultural, sports and other fields.

1.2 The interstate classifier of countries of the world should contribute to the harmonization of information on the names and designations of countries of the world in the Commonwealth member states with a similar international standard and the uniformity of identification of countries of the world in these states.

Geography and nature

Despite its small size, the Czech Republic is a geographically diverse country. Here you can find mountains and hills covered with forests, fields and plains. The country is landlocked. The western and eastern parts are mostly hilly and mountainous. The central one is predominantly hilly plain. The highest peak is Mount Snezka (1602 m).

Fog in the mountains of the Czech Republic

Several fairly large rivers flow through the territory of the Czech Republic - the Vltava, Odra, Laba, Morava. The nature of the Czech Republic is very picturesque - hills and low mountains covered with deciduous and coniferous forests interspersed with agricultural land. Castles and fortresses rise on high hills and cliffs - a legacy of the past. Roe deer and deer graze in the fields, running away as soon as you stop.

The structure of the Interstate Classifier of Countries of the World and the rules it defines

2.1 Structurally, the classifier consists of blocks:

  • digital identification;
  • names of countries;
  • letter identification (code alpha-2, code alpha-3).

2.2 The digital identification block is constructed using an ordinal coding method using three digital decimal places. Digital codes are arranged in ascending order.

2.3 The name block consists of the short and full official name of the country in Russian. The absence of the full name of the country in the classifier position means that it coincides with the short name.

2.4 The block of alphabetic identification of countries is a two-digit (alpha-2) and three-digit (alpha-3) codes, the characters of which are letters of the Latin alphabet. The basic principle that was used to create the letter codes is the principle of visual association of the codes with the names of countries in English, French or other languages.

Two-letter codes are recommended by ISO for international exchanges and allow a visual association to be created with the common name of a country without any reference to its geographical location or status. Three-letter codes are used in special cases determined by the competent organizations. The numeric code has the advantage over the letter code in that it is not affected by changes in country names, which may entail changes to the alpha 2 and alpha 3 code.

2.5 The classifier contains four applications. Appendices A, B and C contain the names of countries (territories) in alphabetical order, lists of letter codes alpha-2 and alpha-3, arranged in the order of the Latin alphabet, and the corresponding short names of countries. Appendix D contains digital codes and names of countries (territories) not included in ISO 3166-93, but used to fill out information in cargo customs declarations.

Population

The population of the Czech Republic is more than 10 million people. Considering the area of the country, it can be classified as densely populated. About 95% of the population are ethnic Czechs. Large diasporas are Ukrainians, Russians, Slovaks, Vietnamese, Germans.

Old Town Square in Prague

The official language is Czech, which belongs to the West Slavic group of languages. Czechs can easily understand Slovaks and vice versa. Also, the Czech language has common roots and words with other Slavic languages - Russian, Polish, Ukrainian. The Czech language has a large number of colorful words: lepidlo - glue, letushka - flight attendant, letadlo - airplane. The stress is almost always on the first syllable.

The Czechs themselves are calm, welcoming, polite people. They respect traditions, are reasonable and unhurried.

Maintaining the Interstate Classifier of World Countries and making changes to it

3.1 Changes to the classifier and its updating are carried out in accordance with emerging needs.

3.2 Maintenance of the Interstate Classifier of Countries of the World is carried out in accordance with the rules for interstate standardization PMG 13-95 “Procedure for the development and maintenance of interstate classifiers”.

Organization of foreign trade activities

Foreign trade contract, customs clearance, delivery of goods by road, rail and sea transport to anywhere in the world.

Accommodation

Accommodation in the Czech Republic is much cheaper than, for example, in Germany and Austria. A double room in a three-star hotel with breakfast can be found for 30-50 euros even in Prague. Of course, it all depends on the location of the hotel (logically, the closer to the center, the more expensive), season, etc. Large cities usually have a wide range of accommodation options, from hostels to luxury hotels. It is better to take care of accommodation in high season in advance. Rooms in Czech hotels are usually quite clean and very simple.
