Customs control is a formal check necessary to identify cases of violation of the rules for transporting goods, currency, cultural values, rare species of animals and other objects subject to mandatory declaration across the state border. The procedure is carried out by representatives of the customs authorities of the Russian Federation and may include:

- baggage inspection;

The procedure for passing customs control at the airport
Customs control at the airport is carried out strictly in the appropriate area. All passengers on international flights are included in it after check-in.
The customs control zone is divided into two corridors: green and red.
Those passengers whose luggage does not contain goods subject to mandatory declaration pass through the green corridor

These include:
- cash in any currency exceeding $10,000 upon conversion;
- jewelry worth more than $25,000, unless it was previously imported from another country and does not have the appropriate documents;
- securities;
- goods for personal use, but with certain restrictions on transportation (medicines for which a prescription is required);
- radio-electronic or high-frequency equipment and technical devices with an encryption function;
- plants and animals listed in the Red Book;
- documents containing information related to state secrets.

The customs declaration must be completed in duplicate and in block letters. One copy is given to the customs officer, and the second should be kept for the duration of the trip until your return.
When departing from Russia the following are subject to mandatory declaration :
- fish and seafood , the total weight of which exceeds 5 kg, as well as sturgeon caviar weighing more than 250 g;
- weapons , ammunition and explosives;
- cultural values and state awards of the Russian Federation.

The single inspection center is located on the 2nd floor of the airport, where boarding takes place. However, passengers flying to the countries of the customs union (Armenia, Belarus, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan) undergo verification in sector B, located on the 1st floor.
Vnukovo Airport

Customs control in Washington
There are 2 international airports in Washington:

The automatic system itself directs you to the green or red corridor, depending on the information specified in the declaration.
Before flying to America, be sure to check the rules for importing goods into your specific state, as rules may vary. According to US laws, for example, absolutely all food products must be declared. Otherwise, you could be fined up to $10,000.

Abstract: sanitary and quarantine control of imported goods
- Sanitary and quarantine control is carried out by Rospotrebnadzor, and documentary control at checkpoints is carried out by customs authorities.
- Rospotrebnadzor issues a certificate of state registration (SGR) to importers.
- Goods definitely pass the QC if the goods are subject to state registration in accordance with technical regulations, or if the goods are on the unified list of goods that are subject to sanitary and quarantine control in the EAEU.
- It is unpredictable for companies if a product falls under the SCC if Rospotrebnadzor introduces temporary restrictions or bans.
- The customs inspector puts a mark on the passage of the CCM in the CMR for road transportation or a bill of lading for sea transportation. There is no electronic form of the stamp yet.
How goods pass through QC at the customs post
Customs authorities carry out documentary control of goods subject to QC. Inspection and inspection are carried out by Rospotrebnadzor specialists. The exception is the free port of Vladivostok and the Arctic zone, where control is entirely carried out by customs officers.
